GOP Invokes Nuclear Option

                                                 

WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans invoked the “nuclear option” Thursday, overturning the body’s rules so Neil Gorsuch could be confirmed to the Supreme Court with a simple majority vote.

The vote — entirely along party lines — was 52 to make the change and 48 against.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the change — from 60 to 51 votes — was necessary to break a Democratic filibuster intended to block the Colorado appellate judge.

“This will be the first — and last — partisan filibuster of a Supreme Court nomination,” McConnell said of the history-making step.

By the filibustering of the 1st SCOTUS justice for political reasons indicates the democrat party has gone over the edge. They are no longer, nor have they been for decades the party of working class in America, they are now officially Marxist/commies, period. They are not for the nation. They as they would have you believe. They are for themselves, 100%, and to hell with nation. Nobody but themselves. Party 1st, and that defines socialism/communism, doesn't it?

The asshole Chucky Schumer just ensured conservatives will control the SC for the next 30 years. Nice job Chucky. The democrats, Harry Reid himself,  are the ones who created this rule. It's about time it was used against them. And now that they are down, keep kicking the shit out of them until you physically and mentally cannot continue, and then on to the next round. Tic Toc, Ginsburg.

Bad News: Speaking Proper English Deemed “Racist” And “Oppressive”…

In classrooms across the country, students might be scolded for using “ain’t” instead of “isn’t.” But a UW-Madison student is working to erase the stigma against Ebonics, also known as African-American Vernacular English.

UW-Madison junior Erika Gallagher conducted research about code switching, also known as code meshing, in which people change their regular speech tendencies to fit into the mold of what is commonly accepted as appropriate.

Ebonics is a variety of English that is commonly found in the center of large cities that have been historically populated primarily by black people. It is commonly found in slam poetry, as well as hip-hop and rap music.

Gallagher, a Posse scholar, began her research during her time as an undergraduate Writing Fellow this semester. She said she realized, as she sat in her seminar class of predominantly white students, that she wanted to focus on standard written English and how it excludes marginalized groups.

“I want to center the voices of the people who need to be centered,” Gallagher said. “As a Writing Fellow, as a white-passing person, I have a lot of power and privilege that should be shared.”

Gallagher conducted much of her research through three interviews. She talked to UW-Madison student leaders from marginalized groups and asked how they felt about code switching. She said all three “overwhelmingly” said it felt oppressive—one said “it is the biggest form of cognitive dissonance that exists.”

No surprise that this is in Portland, the site of one of the heaviest collection of screeching lefty assholes on the entire west coast. Once again the liberals are doing all they can to keep the boys on the Govt plantation and not let them break out. Could we start arresting people for being this stupid?

RIP Don Rickles

Don Rickles. From a time when it was OK for people to laugh at themselves. He would never have survived today in the environment created by the leftist liberals. He'd be given every liberal label in the book. Sexist, racist, homophobe, you name it. We thank God he lived in our era. Thanks for the laughs. Rest in peace Don Rickles, you made me laugh and for that I'm eternally grateful.
