Friday in Chicago at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition convention, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said the policies of President Donald Trump’s administration added up to a domestic “axis of evil.”

Warren said, “Instead of opening more doors, this White House is determined to close them. Instead of breaking down barriers, this White House is building walls. Instead of giving everyone a seat at the table, this White House is a locked down good ol’ boys network. For years—for years—Washington has talked about an axis of evil overseas. Well, there is an axis of evil here at home—oppression, suppression, and repression.”

I feel as though July 4th never ended. Hawaii Fed Judge Obstructs Travel Ban Again, Says More Family Members Should Be Exempt

A federal judge in Hawaii on Thursday expanded the list of “bona fide” family relationships needed by people seeking new visas from six majority Muslim countries to avoid President Trump’s travel ban.

U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson ordered the U.S. not to enforce the travel ban on grandparents, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins of people in the U.S.

“Common sense, for instance, dictates that close family members be defined to include grandparents,” Watson said in his ruling. “Indeed grandparents are the epitome of close family members.”

The travel ban affects those trying to enter the U.S. from Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya, Iran and Yemen.
