As the Benghazi scandal heats up, evidence that Obama himself denied extra security

The Obama administration won’t be the first to learn that you don’t mess with Bill Clinton, especially if there’s nothing in it for Bill. 

How reliable is Edward Klein?  I don’t know.  I don’t believe anyone challenged the facts in his book The Amateur, even if they disagreed with their import.  One thing that was immediately clear from reading The Amateur was that Klein got a lot of his information from Hillary Clinton’s camp.  Klein’s reliability is very important today, because he now claims that he’s gotten some new information from the Hillary camp, and this information, if true, is staggering in its implications:  lawyers close to Hillary claim that Hillary asked for more security in Benghazi and that the Obama White House denied that request.

According to Klein’s sources, Hillary has been keeping mum about this to stay loyal to the Democrat party, while Bill has been urging her to go public with the information to save her reputation.  Here’s what I think happened:

Events played out exactly as Hillary’s leakers claim.  Hillary was silent about the White House’s culpability when it still looked as if Obama could win, because she needed to be on Obama’s good side in the event he won the election.  Now that Obama has the stale smell of failure about him, two things have happened.  First, Hillary doesn’t believe that Obama’s coat tails will be very useful.  And second, the Democrats are launching a preemptive strike against Bill Clinton, claiming that it was his bad advice that led to Obama’s disastrous campaign decisions.

The Obama administration won’t be the first to learn that you don’t mess with Bill Clinton, especially if there’s nothing in it for Bill.  And so the leaks begin.  This way, Hillary still looks loyal, but Bill gets to destroy someone who is trying to destroy him.  Even if it’s not war in the Middle East, there’s going to be a war in Washington, D.C.

This leaked report also makes sense from both a military and a security standpoint, as Wolf Howling explains:

Why should we believe this might be true? I have enough experience in the military and with providing security with weapons loaded to know that the people administratively charged with making decisions on security would not possibly have denied the requests absent a policy decision made at a much higher level. And indeed, I cannot see any career employee in the chain of command denying a request for more security in Benghazi, given the availability of assets and all that was known about the deteriorating situation. In other words, I would bet my last dollar that the decision to deny more security was made pursuant to a policy decision in the political chain of command – and that means Clinton and / or Obama. And if there is any truth to the story above, then that person was Obama.

Assuming that concrete evidence surfaces quickly, the real story is whether the MSM will be able to sit on this story until after the election.  If the media can’t control the narrative, this story should be the last nail in the Obama campaign coffin.

Last night, it was revealed that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had ordered more security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi before it was attacked where four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens were murdered by Al-Qaeda but President Obama denied the request.

After weeks of administration officials blaming an anti-Islamic YouTube video for the attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi, new documents obtained by multiple news outlets now prove beyond doubt that Secretary Hillary Clinton was aware of the situation within 2 short hours of the onset of weapons fire on the consulate.

Shortly after 4:00PM on September 11, 2012, emails from the consulate detailing the extreme nature of the attack were sent to some 200+ intelligence, State Department and White House officials, including the Situation Room. By 6:07PM, the email communications clearly indicated that Al Qaeda-linked Ansar al-Sharia had claimed responsibility for the attack.

Email addresses indicate that without doubt that @state.gov (State Department) and @nss.EOP.gov (Executive Office of the President) received the communications. Also included in the “send to” line are the FBI, the Director of National Intelligence and a person at the Defense Department.

New reports out this morning show that Secretary of State Clinton assembled a legal team to be prepared for any fallout with the Obama administration that would attempt to place blame on the Secretary.

In the weeks following the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Secretary Clinton and others in the administration pushed the narrative that a YouTube video prompted riots that got out of control for the cause of the attack. Clinton and President Obama stood side by side when addressing the nation condemning the video and blaming an American citizen for the deaths of the ambassador, 2 US marines and another American. The president spoke to the UN, appeared on The View and David Letterman shows and gave campaign speeches that continued to push that narrative for weeks after the attack. On September 28, 2012, Press Secretary Jay Carney finally told media that there was “no doubt that [the attack] was an act of terror.”

House Speaker John Boehner sent an open letter to President Barack Obama today demanding to know who knew what and when in what has now developed into a three-pronged scandal: The lack of security at our consulate in Benghazi, the fact that nothing was done during the seven-hour attack to bring in American reinforcements, and the dishonest narrative that evolved afterwards that blamed the attack on a spontaneous protest and YouTube video.

She mentioned that thing about, ‘we’re going to have that person arrested and prosecuted that did the video’ – that was the first I even heard about anything like that. President Obama's reelection campaign has focused on the theme of trust, especially on his foreign policy record. But the father of one American victim of this year's 9/11 attacks says that, based on his firsthand interaction with Obama, that trust isn't warranted.

Charles Woods, the father of former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, who was killed in Benghazi on September 11th, called into the Lars Larson show yesterday. The call was not scheduled; Mr. Woods indicated that he does not usually call into radio programs. But in light of recent news reports about what happened on the ground in Benghazi, and the discovery that the administration monitored events real time, Tyrone's father says he felt compelled to speak out.
Mr. Woods described his meeting with President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, describing their apologies to him as feeling "insincere." He expressed concerns that the administration was deliberately negligent of the safety of those in Benghazi on the 11th. He further proposed that the White House is not yet telling the whole, and the public needs to keep pushing for answers. "Something is fishy about what happened over there," he said.
Sadly, Tyrone Woods was only expected to be in Libya for a few more days before the attack happened and he responded to the calls for help, as his father described. "In six more days, he would have been home."
When asked by the host what we can do to honor his son, Mr. Woods replied:

We need to make sure that this does not happen again. Ty isn't the only military person that's willing to lay down his life for his buddies and for the other people that he works with. Every person in the military is willing to do that, and it would just be a matter of just, I don't know, for people to continue to be courageous.  He's gone, he's dead, one of these days I feel I'll see my son in Heaven.  And I'm not mad at anyone, so it's not a matter of revenge or anything like that...but the truth needs to be out so something like this doesn't happen again, so that people like Ty who are out there - principled men and women - that are willing to sacrifice their lives, that they won't be abandoned by their Commander in Chief.

The show ended with a chilling statement from Ty's father:

We do need to find out who it was that gave the order not to protect our military people there, and whoever it is needs to have the guts to stand up and say, "I was the one that gave the order not to send troops to protect," because they could have, the military would have wanted to.  Someone had to have said don't rescue them.

Tyrone Woods was killed along with US Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, fellow Navy SEAL Glen Doherty and State Department Information Analyst Sean Smith.
In the words of Mr. Woods, "I hope that the public will not forget this."

Last night on CNN Erin Burnett’s show “Out Front” had General Wesley Clark, Obama Foreign Policy propaganda spokesperson, and Jason Chaffetz, to discuss the Benghazi attack and the new State Dept e-mails.
Watch Clark try to defend the indefensible, avoid the unavoidable, and brazenly flat out lie to protect the administration.



Watch the angst he faces. What you note is a person who is ideologically conflicted. Paid to sell a specific narrative, yet he knows that his peers are watching him knowing that all he proclaims is pure propaganda. It is an interesting dynamic.

It’s perhaps futile to try to discern meaning from Turner’s blathering, and by “perhaps” I mean “obviously.” But I guess he’s saying that since war is bad, it’s good when the people who fight in wars kill themselves? Well, it doesn’t matter anyway, now that Obama has singlehandedly killed Bin Laden and there’s no such thing as war anymore. Yay!

It hasn’t been cool to be anti-war since January 20, 2009, but pretty soon it’ll be making a comeback. Once again, Ted Turner is ahead of the curve.

This afternoon, the Obama campaign released its latest ad from a celebrity. This one was from Lena Dunham, 26-year-old creator of HBO’s raunchy series Girls. It’s an astoundingly tasteless ad comparing voting for the first time to losing your virginity. Really. And Dunham recommends that if you’re going to have sex – er, vote – for the first time, you should really do it with President Barack Obama.
