Fifth Anniversary of Failed $787 Billion Stimulus Law
And Libtards Quiet
Via NBC News:
When the $787 billion federal stimulus was signed into law exactly five years ago this Monday, the U.S. economy was losing almost 800,000 jobs per month. Now? More than 4.2 million jobs have been added since March 2009.
Also at this time five years ago, the unemployment rate was 8.3% and would climb to a high of 10.0% just months later. Now it stands at 6.6% [note how NBC omits millions dropped out of the workforce artificially lowering the rate -ed.].
But on this fifth anniversary of the stimulus – passed mostly along party lines in response to financial crisis and Great Recession – Democrats and the White House have responded so far with … silence. As of 11:00 am ET, First Read hadn’t obtained a single statement from the White House or a Democratic member of Congress marking the anniversary. (Time magazine reports the White House will issue a report later this week highlighting how the stimulus helped the economy recover.)
"It's was exactly five years ago yesterday when the $787 billion federal stimulus was signed into law, so how are we doing? We got all these new hydroelectric plants, new roads, repaired bridges, national parks, oh wait, no we didn't. We got all those shovel ready jobs right? No we didn't. The shovel broke. So what did we get? We got f**ked. That's right, we the taxpayers got it right where the sun don't shine. All we got for our money was more libtard, commie, democraps in power and hundred individuals who had their pockets lined the most by this corrupt wealth redistribution program in history. It was the largest fraud in history and then these leeches followed it up with Obowelcare. There are many, many people who need to be strung up. And did you know that Common Core was part of the Stimulus? Obowel gave the State's cash, but had to change over to Common Core standards and courses. Many States took the money before finding out what it was about. And for some reason that escapes people. And a lot of the $787 Billion Slush fund went for the union hacks, unions made off big time, isn't that something to be proud of?
It may be the 5th Anniversary, but it is still with us. Remember, the $787 billion "stimulus" was not a one-time event. The Stimulus became part of the baseline budget, and now buried in the annual budget. That means the "one-time" $787 billion stimulus has actually been re-upped four more times, for a total of 5 times. 5 X $787 billion = $3,935 billion, or nearly $4 trillion, none of which has been monitored or accounted for in a Congressional budget. And for some reason that
