Via Washington Examiner:
Some 22 states enacted 70 new provisions to target abortion last year, the second most ever, prompting an outcry from Planned Parenthood, which accused “out-of-touch Tea Party politicians” with using “every underhanded trick in the book to get these laws passed.”
A new report from the Guttmacher Institute said that the 70 provisions were second in number to the nearly 90 approved in 2011. The group said that 205 abortion restrictions were approved over the past three years, more than the 189 enacted during the previous decade.
The report also noted that many states increased access to abortion, such as California, but it was mostly critical of the more conservative states and efforts to reduce abortion.
Among the examples of “abortion restrictions” cited by the report were provisions by states to involve parents in the decision by a child to get an abortion, waiting periods, public funding and counseling.
Curse those Tea Partiers for saving innocent lives!
"Proud to take the blame. Onward Christian Soldiers. Did you ever wonder why there is an Obowelcare provision covering abortions, but not a provision of fertility treatments and such? Because, to the democraps, it's just always been about the kill method of the babies, isn't it? Well, at least it looks as if people are having some kind of an awakening. It's amazing to me how a conservative movement like the Tea Party, rooted in the founder's concepts of a limited government, can be blamed by RINOs and Communists alike for every failure of this current Communist (bowel) movement. We were the silent majority, but now we have an identity as the Tea Party, and with that, comes the slander and character assasination from the left, which, when they are losing, is their usual and only weapon. Babies in the womb everywhere are grateful to the ones that have spoken up for them and allowed them the chance to live. If the left wants to blame the Tea Party for using “every underhanded trick in the book to get these 70 new provisions to target abortion laws passed, then they should stand up proudly and be proud to be accused of it.
How anyone could harm or kill a fetus, let alone a new born, goes beyond my comprehension.
