Football Sunday's Future
Via NY Post:
You are protesting on company time and company property. Your fired! See how easy it is NFL?The NFL would prefer the players’ now-ubiquitous protests take a back seat to the action this season, but it looks like the league won’t get its wish.
The refs can start flagging that conduct. If anything, the players seem ready to take their social critique beyond sitting during the national anthem.
It would be nice to see the league, the owners or the coaching staff, show some backbone and park his BLM ass on the bench.Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett, who is among the ranks of NFL players to sit during the anthem, celebrated a sack Sunday afternoon with a single raised fist.
Bottom line, the owners will have to decide if they're going to let the players demonstrate while on the clock. Will they wait to see what it does over time to their bottom line or will they be proactive and bench any player, "employee", who won't stand or who makes a political statement or gesture on the field? You're losing fans NFL. People are sick of this bullshit. Your player can do what he wants on his own time. If you permit this, you're making the same statement. It's not about free speech when you're on someone's payroll, and no one is obliged to keep you employed if you use the time they pay you for to make your own political statement. So when revenue drops, you just might finally figure out that the power lies in our wallets. And if you think calling me a racist for taking this stance will get me to start caring about the NFL again, you are far more stupid than I think they are.
