The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. -- Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson

Liberalism: Ideas so good, you have to be forced to accept them.

Gore Compares Climate “Deniers” To “An Alcoholic Father Who Flies Into a Rage”…

Via The Blaze:
Al Gore, former vice president turned environmental advocate, in a recent interview said climate change is often an avoided topic because deniers are like “an alcoholic father who flies into a rage every time a subject is mentioned.” He compared the dwindling amount of climate denialism to the abolition, civil rights and homosexual movements, which took some time to catch on but gained acceptance over time.
But a recently leaked draft of a U.N. report shows that although climate experts are confident man-made activity is causing global warming, they are having a hard time explaining why the warming rate seems to have slowed in recent years.

"Seems to me that Al is the only one who goes around flying into drunken rages, but that's what happens when a libtard gets his funding from the American taxpayers threatened. Al Gored is nothing but a elitist, fat, drunken asshole. He really is. The only people I've seen go into any sort of "rage" on this topic are those on his side. The rest of us mostly just shake our heads at their f**king stupidity. He has the same washed logic of a bum who's brain was eaten by booze induced dementia. Fat and stupid is no way to go through life Al.

Not only does this idiot not know when to shut up, he really doesn't get it that every time he opens his libtard mouth and vomit spews forth in the form of barely comprehensible words, he sounds, looks and completely represents the insane Left amongst us. You are the "alcoholic father"

Quote of the Day:

"In Alabama, there's now a law that any student in one of the state's 78 failing schools may be permitted to escape to a non-failing school. $3,500 is provided as partial (or full) payment of any costs that might be associated with such a move.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is suing the state to block this scheme.

Why? Well, actually, because they are simply creatures of the left and are doing a solid for the most important constituency of the left, Government School Union Teachers (and the bad ones, too, because the good ones have less need of union bargaining power).

But their stated claim is this: They found eight families who say $3500 isn't enough to get their kids the help they need and hence the law is "discriminatory," and ergo is unconstitutional.

So all children must continue to suffer with those eight." --Ace o' Spades

CATASTROPHE: Obamacare tagged for huge spike in unemployment

From BadBlue Real-Time News.

"Unexpectedly", of course. John Nolte reports on the latest disastrous unemployment report:

Outside of the federal government's Bureau of Labor statistics, the Gallup polling organization also tracks the nation's unemployment rate. While the BLS and Gallup findings might not always perfectly align, the trends almost always do and the small statistical differences just haven't been worthy of note. But now Gallup is showing a sizable 30 day jump in the unemployment rate, from 7.7% on July 21 to 8.9% today...

This is an 18-month high.

...Gallup also shows an alarming increase in the number of underemployed (those with some work seeking more). During the same 30-day period, that number has jumped from 17.1% to 17.9%.

The reason for the jump is crystal clear. As Forbes contributor John Goodman observes:

University of Chicago economist Casey Mulligan [asserts that] ObamaCare discourages hiring, discourages full time employment and discourages businesses from becoming large rather than small. At The New York Times economics blog he writes:

“...the Affordable Care Act ... creates explicit taxes on employers, subsidies for layoffs and various implicit taxes on employees with many of the same economic characteristics as taxes on employers.”

According to Mulligan’s “calculations.... we might then expect the act to contract the 2015 labor market by about 3 percent rather than expand it.”

That’s a loss of 4 million jobs!

We may be seeing the tip of that iceberg now. The next BLS unemployment report is scheduled to be released on September 6th. Gird your loins.
