Female Muslim students at Hamtramck High School, a public high school six miles north of Detroit, held their annual girls-only prom last weekend.The yearly gala for Muslim girls — a tradition since 2012 — is called “Princess Prom,” according to MLive.It’s intended to be a safe space for Muslim girls who must adhere to strict religious practices which include wearing hijabs in public and which prevent attending co-ed dances.
And the Christian only dance is when? Whatever happened to that supreme court decision that there could be no religion in schools? And isn't discrimination based on sex and on religion both illegal? Where's the ACLU bitching about a school holding a religious event? Oh, it's not a Christian girls' dance. Never mind. And what happened to the "separation between church and state" cry from liberals. Ah those democrats, God is out but Mohammad is in. Now I get it. This prom should be privately funded. But as long as one religion is getting a free dance, then taxpayers should fund additional proms for Young Christians, and for any other religion at the school, even if only one student of a particular religion attends the school. Anyone still questioning that the Progressive-Globalists are waging a war on Christians? And one other thing, get the flag off of your face and show some respect.
