Krauthammer calls Obama demeanor at presser ‘his usual show of indignation’ [VIDEO]

Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer on Wednesday mocked as an embarrassing attempt at chivalry President Barack Obama’s insistence that Republicans back off U.N. ambassador Susan Rice and instead “go after” him directly.



Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham have threatened to block Rice’s potential nomination to be the next secretary of state, because of her repeated claims that the coordinated Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Embassy in Libya was nothing more than a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islam YouTube video.  
“You called it [Obama's] one show of passion,” Krauthammer said on Wednesday’s broadcast of “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel, referring to the president’s remark about Rice, which came at press conference earlier in the day. “I would say it was his usual show of indignation, which is his default response whenever he feels defensive or backed into a corner. You know, how dare you attack my U.N. ambassador? And then he gives the strangest defense, by saying she didn’t have anything to do with the Benghazi attack. Then why the hell are you sending her out there? Why didn’t you send out the secretary of state or the CIA director or Panetta or somebody, who did know?”

“And then he does play the sort of Lancelot defending the mistress in distress. You know, it made Mitt Romney and the binders with women look positively feminist in comparison — this kind of patronizing attack on two male senators who would dare attack the girl, which was intended in his tone.”  

Krauthammer noted that Obama rarely holds press conferences or takes questions from reporters, making it difficult for anyone to “go after” him.

“This is all the usual, you know, if you attack his pride, he’ll strike you on that,” Krauthammer continued. “And it was clearly defensive, and it was also a stonewall. I mean, after all, what she said was absolutely and completely misleading. Either inadvertently, in which case it’s complete incompetence or on purpose, in which case it’s deception. And then he basically — he took bait on that and said look, that wasn’t her speaking. That was me speaking. If you want to pick on somebody, pick on me. Well, how can anybody pick on him or even question him, if he hasn’t had a press conference in eight months? You know, he clearly hasn’t been out there. He’s been hiding behind inquiries, behind investigations, and now behind Susan Rice. But now I think he is out there and he is vulnerable on this. I think he may regret having said that.”

Powder Puff Barry went after Republicans today in a complete Chicago-style rant.
“When they go after the UN Ambassador because they think she’s an easy target… They’ve got a problem with me.”




Actually, the Republicans are going after Susan Rice because she’s a liar.
Susan Rice is not only incompetent, she is completely lost as ambassador.

President Obama, irritated by Republican pledges to prevent Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice from receiving a promotion, said that Rice’s critics “have a problem with me.”
“When they go after the UN ambassador apparently because they think she’s an easy target, then they’ve got a problem with me,” Obama told reporters today. “And should I choose — if I think that she would be the best person to serve America in the capacity of the State Department [head] then I will nominate her, but that’s not a determination I’ve made yet.”
…“They should go after me, and I’m happy to have that discussion. But for them to go after the UN ambassador, who had nothing to do with Benghazi . . . to besmirch her reputation, is outrageous.”

So if the UN ambassador had nothing to do with Benghazi, why did the White House send her out to all of the networks to lie about the terrorist attack?

WOW! Obama was confronted today by Ed Henry from FOX News if he “made an order” to save the heroes in Benghazi. —
He says he gave the order to “keep our people safe.”

** But he WOULD NOT ANSWER if he gave a direct order to save our men in Benghazi!!

It was the only meaningful question from the whole press conference.
The lapdog media was particularly timid yesterday.

Ed Henry: But I want to stay on Benghazi based on what John asked. You said if they want to come after me, come after me. I want to ask about the families of the four Americans who were killed. Sean Smith’s father Ray said he felt his son basically called 911 for help and he didn’t get it. And I know you said you grieved on these four men and it is being investigated. The families of the four men have waited for two months. So I would like for you to address the families. On 911 did you issue any orders to try to protect their lives.
Barack Obama: Ed, I’ll address the families. Not through the press. The families directly as I already have. And, we will provide all the information that is available about what happened on that day. That’s what the investigation is for. But as I said repeatedly, if people don’t believe we did everything we can to make sure that we save the lives to folks I sent there, and who were carrying out missions on behalf of the United States, then you don’t know how our Defense Department thinks, our State Department thinks or our CIA thinks. Their number one priority is to protect American lives. That’s what our job is. Now, I will put forward every bit of information that we have. I can tell you that, immediately after finding out that our folks are in danger, that my orders to my security team was to do whatever we need to do to keep our people safe. And that would be the same order I would give anytime that I see Americans are in danger.”

According to military and defense experts, if Obama actually gave the order to keep our people safe, there would be a paper trail.
So far nothing has turned up.

Obama Admits White House Gave Ambassador Rice Bogus Information on Benghazi (Video)

Obama told reporters today the White House gave Ambassador Susan Rice the bogus information she delivered to the talk shows the week after the Benghazi terrorist attack.
Rice told five different networks that an obscure YouTube video ignited a protest outside the consulate that escalated into violence.
It was a lie.

President Barack Obama revealed at his press conference this afternoon that he is responsible for sending U.N. ambassador Susan Rice to speak to the American people a few days after the September 11 Benghazi terror attack.
“As I said before, she made an appearance at the request of the White House in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her,” Obama said at the press conference, defending the statements the ambassador to the U.N. made regarding the Benghazi attack.
Rice has been widely criticized for giving misleading statements about Benghazi. She maintained that the killing of four Americans stemmed for a spontaneous protest that got violent.

The Benghazi Slaughter – FINALLY SOMEONE POINTS OUT THE OBVIOUS CIA “COVER STORY”…

 

HatTip to Senator Lyndsey Graham who finally points out the primary problem with the White House hiding behind the CIA angle to the Benghazi story.

A recent CIA “press briefing” has led to a new, but not unexpected, evolutionary narrative explaining the insufferable incompetence and obfuscation surrounding the Benghazi slaughter.

As we pointed out the White House in general, and President Obama specifically, intentionally shifted the deflection narrative to hide behind the CIA, and secrets, with the Benghazi story. Both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times were utilized along with CNN’s Suzanne Kelly to claim the State Department was a cover story for the CIA activity on the ground. In essence the White House claimed that the CIA was in control of Benghazi operations INCLUDING THE SECURITY.
The White House and Administration used the New York Times, CNN, and The Wall Street Journal to sell their spin. But we, along with many others including Bing West, were not buying it. 

As Bing West wrote:
  
[...] Identical stories appeared in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. The Times explained that, “The account, given by the senior officials who did not want to be identified, provided the most detailed description to date of the C.I.A.’s role.”

So what’s going on here? The national-security staff in the Obama White House has a standard operating procedure. If a military action, such as killing bin Laden, succeeds, then immediately leak selected details to shape the narrative to the political advantage of Mr. Obama. If the action is botched, as in Benghazi, then say nothing and tell the quiescent press that there is no story worth pursuing. If questions persist, the second line of defense is an investigation that wlll drag on for months. For instance, bureaucrats in the Justice Department are still investigating the leaks last spring about the U.S. cooperation with Israel in the software sabotage — cyber warfare — of Iranian centrifuges.

If pesky Fox News persists in asking questions, then the third line of defense is to give the nod to the CIA to leak a diversionary story to favored news outlets and reporters. Thus the leaks to the Washington Post and New York Times showing that CIA operatives did try to rescue their comrades. Then authorize the CIA to go public with the same timeline, further throwing the press off the trail. The New York Times, the recipient of record for White House leaks, published on November 3 a diversionary story on its front page, fixating upon the CIA director, General Petraeus. This implied that the main issue about Benghazi centered around CIA secrecy — a tautology irrelevant to the real cover-up.

The intent is to cause the press and the public to lose interest in a story that seems exhaustively repetitive, while the key issues are never addressed.

Finally a reporter asked Senator Lyndsey Graham why he was fixated on this being an issue and why the CIA control was not good enough for him, because of his request for a “special committee” to begin hearings.
Lyndsey Graham points out the obvious.  I paraphrase:

If the CIA was in charge of the Benghazi operation, and the CIA was in charge of the security, as the White House would have you believe, THEN WHY DID THE PEOPLE ON THE GROUND NOT KNOW THAT?
Why were the people on the ground asking for more security specifically from the State Dept?   If the CIA was in charge, the people on the ground carrying out the operation sure as hell were not aware of that, INCLUDING AMBASSADOR STEVENS, who in his last cable had stated he was not comfortable with security and requested additional protection for their endeavors FROM THE STATE DEPT.  NOT THE CIA.

 Thank You Lyndsey Graham for pointing out the key issue we have been trying to hammer home.   The CIA angle was, and is, a cover story, only a cover story, and completely a cover story to protect the Obama Administration.
Remember the al-jazzera reporter who found copies of Ambassador Stevens requests on October 26th?   Just laying around….?   And people were wondering why the FBI did not find them after they “supposedly” conducted their ground investigation.  Remember that?
Well, why the heck would they take such evidence when it completly contradicted the story the FBI (Mueller) and the Administration (Panetta/Obama) were selling.?   Of course they would not pick up such e-mails and cables as evidence – Requests to the State Dept. sure dont add up to the BS CIA story the administration was trotting out, do they?

The United Nations called a Security Council meeting concerning Israel’s attacks on Hamas terror leaders in Gaza.
Haaretz reported:

The UN Security Council will hold a closed emergency meeting on Wednesday to discuss Israeli strikes against the Gaza Strip, France said, as Israel threatened a wider offensive in the Palestinian enclave to stem rocket salvoes by Hamas militants. The French UN mission announced on its Twitter feed that the meeting would be a “closed private debate” beginning at 9:00 P.M. EST (0200 GMT Thursday). Council diplomats said Israeli and Palestinian envoys would speak at the meeting. (Reuters)

The U.N. chief on Wednesday called on Israel and Palestinian Hamas militants to prevent an escalation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
