The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. -- Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson

Liberalism: Ideas so good, you have to be forced to accept them.

The 27 Senate Democraps Who Lied To Americans About Keeping Their Health Plans Under Barrycare

"Perhaps I'm a believer that people will do the right thing, but I hope these criminal, corrupt, fraudulent, unethical, lying assholes are going to pay a price for their deceit. Every one of these lying bastards should be arrested for knowingly defrauding the citizen's pf this country. Traitors to America, all! All these traitors and the rest of them that voted for BarryCare should be Hung for Treason. A monument should be erected in Washington with the names of these senators and Obowel's name. It should be called the Monument to the Big Lie. Put it right in front of the capitol building to remind people of the treachery within that building. Then next to that monument, a plaque on the ground that reads, "Here stood the gallows that hung the bastards to which the Monument to the Big Lie is dedicated". The sick part is, is they are still trying to sell the bullshit, even though its been proven to be a lie.

They are disgusting! Look at their ugly lying faces. Once they have had a taste of the good life, they never want to leave! The only way the Republic is to survive this assault on our freedoms is to clean House, starting with these liars. Our system of government is the best, and it has just been corrupted and compromised by these morons. It is time to give them a you're fired, and oh by the way you are being held accountable for your inept negligence, incompetence, and deceit at governing our Constitutional Republic!  All personal assets will go to the people to assist in repaying the debt you have created. No pensions, no healthcare, get a f--king job and suffer like the rest of us. If your word is nothing, you are nothing. People of honor expect honorable behavior from others, especially when they emphasize the promise strongly and repeatedly. More than ever I find that professional political people are NOT trustworthy. They only represent themselves. They do that well and enrich themselves quite well. We, as honorable people, can have honorable representation if we demand the truth and vote them out of office when they do not keep their word to us, We the People. Believe me, We CAN handle the truth!" MC

The list of the liars:

SEN. HARRY REID (D-Nev.): “In fact, one of our core principles is that if you like the health care you have, you can keep it.” (Sen. Reid, Congressional Record, S.8642, 8/3/09)

SEN. RICHARD DURBIN: “We believe — and we stand by this — if you like your current health insurance plan, you will be able to keep it, plain and simple, straightforward.” (Sen. Durbin, Congressional Record, S.6401, 6/10/09)

SEN. CHUCK SCHUMER (D-NY): “If you like your insurance, you keep it.” (U.S. Senate, Finance Committee, Bill Mark-Up, 9/24/09)

SEN. PATTY MURRAY (D-Wash.): “Again, if you like what you have, you will be able to keep it. Let me say this again: If you like what you have, when our legislation is passed and signed by the President, you will be able to keep it.” (Sen. Murray, Congressional Record, S.6400, 6/10/09)

Joke of the Day:

Quote of the Day:

"The reason for the benign Sovereign’s exercise of the Royal Prerogative is that millions of his subjects — or “folks,” as he prefers to call us, no fewer than 27 times during his press conference — have had their lives upended by Obamacare. Your traditional hard-core statist, surveying the mountain of human wreckage he has wrought, usually says, “Well, you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.” But Obama is the first to order that his omelet be unscrambled and the eggs put back in their original shells. Is this even doable? No. That’s the point. When it doesn’t work, he’ll be able to give another press conference blaming the insurance companies, or the state commissioners, or George W. Bush . . .

The most telling line, the one that encapsulates the gulf between the boundless fantasies of the faculty-lounge utopian and the messiness of reality, was this: “What we’re also discovering is that insurance is complicated to buy.” Gee, thanks for sharing, genius. Maybe you should have thought of that before you governmentalized one-sixth of the economy. By “we,” the president means “I.” Out here in the ruder provinces of his decrepit realm, we “folks” are well aware of how complicated insurance is. What isn’t complicated in the Sultanate of Sclerosis? But, as with so many other things, Obama always gives the vague impression that routine features of humdrum human existence are entirely alien to him. Marie Antoinette, informed that the peasantry could no longer afford bread, is alleged to have responded, “Let them eat cake.” There is no evidence these words ever passed her lips, but certainly no one ever accused her of saying, “If you like your cake, you can keep your cake,” and then having to walk it back with “What we’re also discovering is that cake is complicated to buy.” That contribution to the annals of monarchical unworldliness had to await the reign of Queen Barry Antoinette, whose powdered wig seems to have slipped over his eyes." --Mark Steyn
