The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. -- Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson

Liberalism: Ideas so good, you have to be forced to accept them.

BENGHAZI, ILLUSTRATED: The debate, the lies and the cover-up

LAST STAND: I Refuse to Give Up This Republic Without a Fight

You don't have to ride on a treacherous, unlit cow path from the north-side of Boston to Lexington as the King's Regulars attempt a surprise attack on the Sons of Liberty.

You don't have to board a frigate, sail for weeks across the Atlantic and then sack a city in Tripoli to rescue your imprisoned countrymen.

SAY, CAN WE AWARD OBAMA ANOTHER PEACE PRIZE? Egypt Wants Nuclear Weapons, Stronger Ties to Iran

Consider this reason #7,326 that Obama must be pink-slipped in November:

A poll of Egyptians conducted last month shows that they have increasingly positive views of Iran, believe that both Iran and Egypt should obtain nuclear weapons, and still trust their own military more than any other institution in Egypt.

The poll of 812 Egyptians, half of them women, was conducted in a series of in-person interviews by the firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner and sponsored by the Israel Project, a pro-Israel advocacy organization with offices in Washington and Jerusalem. According to the poll, Iran is viewed favorably in Egypt, with 65 percent of those surveyed expressing support of the decision to renew Egypt-Iran relations and 61 percent expressing support of the Iranian nuclear project, versus 41 percent in August 2009.

...Iran's deputy defense minister said recently that the Iranian regime is seeking more military cooperation with Egypt. "We are ready to help Egypt to build nuclear reactors and satellites," he said on the occasion or Egyptian President Mohammed Morsy's meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last month. Morsy's office has said the two didn't discuss military cooperation.

Eighty-seven percent of respondents want Egypt to have its own nuclear bomb.

Israel Project CEO Josh Block told The Cable that the statistics show the effect of Morsy's outreach to Iran and the danger of regional proliferation of nuclear weapons if Iran is successful in obtaining a nuclear bomb.

What exactly is the "Obama Doctrine"?

Clinton: Only Reason Race Close Is ‘Impatient’ Americans Who Don’t Understand Recovery

Former President Bill Clinton suggested Friday that the only reason the race is competitive is “impatient” Americans that do not understand how the economy works, at a campaign event in Wisconsin:
PRESIDENT CLINTON: This shouldn’t be a race—the only reason it is, is because Americans are impatient and want things done the day before yesterday. They don’t understand why the economy isn’t totally hunky-dory today.

Trial Balloons: White House Floating “Leaks” To Test Surprise….

…… This is a Test

The White House is throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks in the right place(s).
A “foreign Policy” debate scheduled for Monday,… in Boca Raton,…. amid the largest Jewish voter base in the Key “Swing State” of Florida,…. with the biggest ongoing policy issue being Iran threatening Israel with Nuclear Weapons,…. after Obama blew it with his non-support of the Iranian Freedom Movement (Green Party)
And all of a sudden,…. the Left-Wing New York Times is “leaking”,… on a Saturday,…..  In advance of the “Sunday Talk Shows”,……  That Iran and President Obama “might have” come to an agreement to stave off military action and defuse the situation….

All unbeknownst to Israel….

Um, Ohhhh-kaaaaaay

Got It !

Could they be any more friggin obvious with this super-sized Trial Balloon?.

Michelle Obama's Desperate Plea For Votes

Michelle must be worried that she is going to have to start paying for her lavish lifestyle out of her own pocket. Poor Michelle!

Just 18 days from election day, the Obama campaign is beginning the final push for votes in the most critical "fire wall" swing states on their electoral map.  To that end, First Lady Michelle Obama gave a rousing and impassioned speech in Racine, WI last night to a fervent and committed crowd of core supporters.

The speech, and the First Lady's delivery, was at times shrill and desperate as false straw man after false straw man was hoisted up before the devoted crowd only to be struck down by Mrs. Obama with passionate force.  "Don't let anybody talk down your country!" she implored the crowd, not specifically citing any example of how her husband's opponents have done such a thing.
Instead of just focusing on the positive and personal traits of her husband, Mrs. Obama spent most of the 34 minute sermon on policy issues.

Count the hysterical straw men Mrs. Obama dwells on when she wades into policy:  From taxation "teachers and firefighters should not pay higher tax rates than millionaires and billionaires, not in America," to deficit spending "we know good and well that cutting Sesame Street is no way to balance the budget," to health care, "we believe in an America where no one goes broke because someone gets sick," to pabulum that is not related to any specific policy but sounds a lot like socialism "we believe in an America where no one loses their home just because someone lost a job."

"Do you hear me?" Mrs. Obama kept asking the supporters, "Do you understand me?"  The animated and preacher-like delivery was not the standard speech often delivered by first lades.  Sometimes shouting, often begging, Mrs. Obama showed herself to be just as effective an orator as her husband utilizing the same rhetorical techniques and passionate demonization of the invisible opponent trying to stand in the way of progress as she and the President define it.

Watch this final 4 minute climax of the speech, including desperate pleas for early votes and on-sight registration in a state that should have been comfortably in her husband's column by this time, and you can see that in Camp Obama, there is no confidence but a slow unravelling of the hope for a second term.

Joe Biden Invents College Football Career

That Vice President Joe Biden lies is well known. For example, Biden is infamous for plagiarizing speeches.
However, in an attempt to relate to increasingly unenchanted young voters, Biden told quite a whopper — even by his standards:
Does it really count as a lie if a fellow simply can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality? Yes. Yes, it does. Insanity is no excuse.
Last month, Joe Biden told a lie. I know that’s not at all specific enough, so here’s how CBS News described it:
During a campaign stop in Athens, Ohio, on Saturday, Vice President Joe Biden said the last time he was in the town, playing against the Ohio University football team in 1963, he almost got arrested for walking into a girls’ dormitory.
Ha, ha, ha! Oh, that Joe.
There’s just one problem with this heartwarming tale of youthful mischief, as Jim Hoft writes:
It’s a good story. It’s just not true… at all.
Shawn at Free Republic discovered that Joe Biden did not play football at the University of Delaware in 1961, 1962, 1963, or 1964, according to past yearbooks.
I suppose it’s possible that decades of plastic surgery have left Biden completely unrecognizable, but what name was he using back then? Why isn’t the name “Biden” on any of those rosters? Oh, wait, I know. Because he’s lying. Is this a big f***ing deal? Well, it sure was a scandal when Paul Ryan claimed he ran a marathon, decades ago, faster than he really did. That made him “Lyin’ Ryan.” Whereas Biden only made up a college football career. Hey, that’s just Joe bein’ Joe! That lovable nut. Etc.
Biden lies about everything. When he wasn’t laughing and gesticulating and otherwise making an ass of himself last Thursday night, he was lying. He’s Lyin’ Biden. And that’s okay, because Democrats don’t mind being lied to by other Democrats. It’s their language. It’s what they understand. When they accuse you of lying, it’s because… try to follow me here… it’s because they’re liars.

Biden: Lilly Ledbetter 'Not A Big Deal In Terms Of Equal Pay'

While campaigning in Florida on October 20th, Vice President Joe Biden said that the "Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act" wasn't a big deal for equal pay for women.

The gift that keeps on giving! Bidens mouth. I would take this clip and use it as a campaign add.
"I'm Mitt Romney and I approved this message."

Media Elite Knock Obama for 'Snarky, Belittling' Campaign

Winners act like winners. Losers act like losers. And according to members of the same media elite who have spent months protecting him, Barack Obama is now looking like a loser in the closing days of his reelection campaign. This morning, a few members of the elite "Gang of 500," including Time's Mark Halperin, The National Journal's Ron Fournier, ABC's Terry Moran, and Politico's Roger Simon, publicly voiced their disapproval of a campaign they describe as "belittling," "not confident," "peevish" and worse:

"Obama probably should not have done "Romnesia" himself. That's what vice presidents are for. Presidents should be big". @politicoroger

@lobsterstyle @MarkHalperin @TerryMoran call me naive but I think persuadable voters are moved by ideas/character traits. Not snark/pop

@jpodhoretz @TerryMoran Another non-rhetorical question: What are examples of campaigns in which that has worked as a closing message?

@jpodhoretz @MarkHalperin Agree--not the close. But it doesn't feel very "forward" to me. Not confident. Not presidential. Kind of peevish.

Uh, oh.
In 1984, President Reagan ran on "Morning In America." In 1996, President Clinton ran on a "Bridge to the 21st Century." In the final days of successful reelection campaigns, both Reagan and Clinton offered a unifying message meant to bring the country together. Their closing arguments were uplifting, forward-looking, and optimistic.
Flash-forward to 2012 and all we've seen from the man who promised us hope, change, and a new kind of politics is a nakedly cynical divide and conquer crusade that's only gotten worse in its closing days. While Romney focuses his closing argument on the future, his agenda, and the realities of governing, our president is literally going all in on Big Bird, contraception, Binder-gate, "Romnesia," and aids flanking him at rallies holding signs that read: "Women's Health Security."
