FEATURED POST: Angered Staten Island Resident Tells President Obama: “You Lied”
"Doesn't matter. Election is over and so is his concern. Oh and by the way, if you voted for him, well, tough sh-, I mean too bad. Thats what happens when you depend on the government. Lesson learned"? MC
President Obama promised to help victims of Hurricane Sandy after the storm ravaged the East Coast. But after meeting with the president, one Staten Island family says he has broken that promise. Scott and Deidre McGrath joined Fox and Friends to tell their heartbreaking story.
Scott spoke to the president after the storm, in what he described as a “staged” meeting. He said, “They put us into this tent and they wanted to make believe we were shopping for our products. Most of the residents that live in that area were never up there.”
After waiting on line, Scott was able to talk to President Obama. He recalled saying, “President Obama, you said you were going to cut the red tape. You lied. And he says, ‘what do you mean?’ I said, you lied … you said you were going to cut the red tape; it hasn’t been cut for the middle class. What are you giving us, the royal finger?”
When the president asked about his concerns, Scott said he told him about FEMA giving them the runaround and Bank of America wanting them to keep paying a mortgage. President Obama said there wasn’t much he could do about the bank, but referred Scott to two aides to help with FEMA.
Over a month after the hurricane and promises from president of the United States himself, the McGraths say nothing has been done. They’re still living in their house despite not having gas, water or electricity. Thanks to the kindness of a neighbor, they were able to borrow a generator for heat during the night.
Frustrated by their current situation, Scott said, “You got to blame the president, you got to blame the local politicians, you even got to blame the borough president of Staten Island.” He added, “Nobody really wants to hear it. It’s all, you know, they’re always passing the buck.”
At a town hall meeting this past week, Staten Island residents got into a shouting match with government officials. The borough president at one point yelled at them to shut up. The McGraths were at that meeting and asked FEMA officials why they haven’t received trailers, like what was provided for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Scott said people cheered when they asked that question. On Fox and Friends, Scott’s plea was simple, “The holidays are coming up. People would rather be somewhere that they know they can go to every night.”
We Honor Artistic Expression
Hard to believe that it’s that season again. No, not “Christmas,” I’m talking about awards season, which kicks off with the annual Kennedy Center Honors Gala. Broadcast live from the Kennedy Center Opera House on CBS!
As always, this year’s honorees hail from the arts capitals of the world; Americans Blues guitarist Buddy Guy, actor/director Dustin Hoffman and all around cultural treasure, late night talk show host David Letterman. From the former Soviet Union we have ballerina Natalia Makarova who defected at the height of the Cold War (and is rumored to be considering defecting back) and from Britain, the remaining members of Led Zeppelin - John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant.
The weekend-long celebration began with a dinner hosted by Hillary and the State Department on Saturday night.
In addition to Bill, Hill and the honorees, it was attended by many of the regular special friends and hangers on.
Sunday’s celebration began with a Big White reception for this year’s WINners:Then on to the Kennedy Center, where the red carpets were cluttered with even more of our celebrity fans and MSM cheerleaders: Alec, Norah, Jimmy, Steve and Tina.
As well as this year’s honorees:
Other cultural icons in attendance:
Gee, Nancy is nearly 20 years Caroline’s senior; how does she do it? She should share her beauty regimen and maybe start her own cosmetics line.
I think the remaining Led Zeppelin boys could benefit from her tips too.
Also attending the State dinner Saturday: Aretha, wearing a pink Cadillac on her recently downsized frame. Also spotted: Morgan Freeman who respectfully kept his hat on to keep his big brain in check, in deference to BO.
As is his style, Big Guy put his signature spin on things:
Oh, and the Sunday event allowed for wardrobe changes. Nancy chose a flock of seagulls while fellow CalifornianCommunistProgressive, Senator Barbara Boxer wore brown silk taffeta. I note that she, wisely, seems to be following Nancy’s beauty regimen these days. Amazing what you can afford on a public servant’s salary (that you’ve worked soooo hard to get).
And Aretha, for whatever reason, chose to attend the Sunday ceremonies as Cher, in an awning.
“Tonight’s honorees didn’t just take up their crafts to make a living. They did it because they couldn’t imagine living any other way,”
“That passion took each of them from humble beginnings to the pinnacle of their profession. Tonight, in the People’s House, we have a chance to say thank you.”
Now, don’t go getting all excited. It’s art.

Riot act read to school censoring 1st grader's poem Girl's verse commemorating grandfather's military service included the word 'God'
"When is enough, enough? How stupid can this school district be. There all ready is a law that
protects this 1st graders right, its called the 1st amendment to the
Constitution. Maybe they should all sit down and read it. And why aren't the churches calling out the school? Wake up America". MC
A school district in North Carolina has been given a deadline to affirm that it will not censor a student’s speech, or a legal team assembled by the Alliance Defending Freedom will seek a “remedy” to the problem.
The issue arose several days ago when the school district told a first-grade student that a poem commemorating her grandfathers’ military service could not include the word “God,” because one member of the community didn’t like it.
But in a letter sent from ADF to the McDowell County Schools in Marion, N.C., the lawyers pointed out that the censorship “was a violation of her First Amendment rights.”
“A first-grader at the school was told that she had to remove references to ‘God’ in a poem she wrote to honor her grandfathers’ service to our country during the Vietnam War,” the letter said. “In her poem, she had included the lines ‘He prayed to God for peace, he prayed to God for strength,’ to describe the historical actions of her grandfathers during the war. However, after a community member complained about the inclusion of the student’s poem in a Veteran’s Day Ceremony, the school forced her to remove the lines.”
ADF told the school it’s “a fundamental principle of constitutional law that school officials may not suppress or exclude the personal speech of students simply because the speech is religious or contains a religious perspective.”
“This principle cannot be denied without eviscerating the essential First Amendment guarantees of free speech and religious freedom,” ADF said.
ADF noted that many school officials incorrectly think allowing a student to express a religious idea violates the “separation of church and state.” But, the letter said, the Supreme Court never had held that the Constitution requires “complete separation of church and state.”
“The court has merely held that the establishment clause of the First Amendment requires the state to be neutral in its relations with religious believers and non-believers.”
Further, the student’s speech is private, not government speech, the letter explains.
“The censorship of this young student’s poem about her grandfather is repugnant to the First Amendment rights of all students and sends an impermissible message of hostility towards religion,” the letter said. “What’s next? A student being told that she can’t publicly recite the Gettysburg Address because President Lincoln refers to ‘this nation, under God’ or the Declaration of Independence because of references to the ‘laws … of nature’s God’ and the rights endowed to all people ‘by their creator.’”
School officials could not be reached for comment. But a statement posted prominently on the website from Supt. Gerri Martin said: “I am looking forward to collaborating with the board, our attorney, and our community to revise policy and create guidelines that will ensure the rights of free speech and freedom of religion consistent not only with the conscience of this community but the requirements the law places on us as a public school system.”
Legal Counsel Matt Sharp said America’s public schools “should encourage, not restrict, the constitutionally protected freedom of students to express their faith.”
“Students should not be censored when speaking about their faith or honoring those who valiantly served to protect our freedoms,” he said. “The poem described the historical actions of her grandfather, and the Constitution protects such student expression at school.”
The student attends West Marion Elementary School in the McDowell County School District.

Leftist Idiots Barricade Themselves Inside Keystone XL Pipe in Texas
"Stunts like this should answer anyone’s question as to how an idiot like 0bama was re-elected? How about we just pound on the pipe with sledgehammers until their ears bleed, then do it some more. Ok, then just arrest them for trespassing, give them a fine and ship them back north

They were later arrested.
Using a blockading technique never implemented before, Matt Almonte and Glen Collins locked themselves between two barrels of concrete weighing over six hundred pounds each. On July 20, 1993, Vince Foster, President Bill Clinton’s childhood friend and Hillary Clinton’s closest White House confidante, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in the head in Fort Marcy Park, McLean, Virginia. His shocking and untimely passing was the highest ranking government official’s death since President John Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. Foster’s mysterious death sparked a firestorm of controversy that engulfed the nation. Was it murder or suicide? The charges leveled against Hillary and Bill Clinton were serious: Foster knew too much. They had killed him. Clinton staffers removed evidence from his office. Must be a cover-up. Investigators never found the fatal bullet. It’s a conspiracy. On and on it went. But who was right? The new book Following Orders: The Death of Vince Foster, Clinton White House Lawyer (One Rock Ink Publishing), is a groundbreaking and stunning investigation into his shocking and untimely death. Using new information exclusively obtained from the last person who officially saw Foster alive in the White House, and supported by five official investigations that relied on the “available evidence,” investigative journalist Marinka Peschmann’s findings lead to a terrible conclusion and to a cover-up. Judd is a big anti-gun lib. She cut ads for some wackadoodle leftist group against Sarah Palin in 2008. Judd would rather see the wolves poisoned than shot. Now, that’s humane. The Politico reported: Ashley Judd vs. Mitch McConnell? It might not be as far-fetched as you think. The Hollywood movie star and eighth-generation Kentuckian is seriously exploring a 2014 run for the Senate to take on the powerful Republican leader, four people familiar with the matter tell POLITICO. In recent weeks, Judd has spoken with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) about the possibility of a run, has discussed a potential bid with a Democratic pollster and has begun to conduct opposition research on herself to see where she’s most vulnerable in the Bluegrass State, sources say. Whether Judd jumps into the race remains far from certain. She’s reportedly also weighing whether to wait until 2016 to instead take on freshman Sen. Rand Paul, sources say. But if Judd does become a candidate, she would be the biggest celebrity to run for the Senate since Al Franken’s successful 2008 bid for the Minnesota seat. 3 0 0 3 0 comments Sorry Libs… The NRA Was There to Help Blacks Defend Themselves From KKK Democrats, Not the Other Way Around
On September 28, 1868, a mob of Democrats massacred nearly 300 African-American Republicans in Opelousas, Louisiana. The savagery began when racist Democrats attacked a newspaper editor, a white Republican and schoolteacher for ex-slaves. Several African-Americans rushed to the assistance of their friend, and in response, Democrats went on a “Negro hunt,” killing every African-American (all of whom were Republicans) in the area they could find.
Which brings us to today…
Asshat Jason Whitlock, the Kansas City columnist whose article on Jovan Belcher‘s murder-suicide inspired an anti-gun rant by NBC’s Bob Costas, now says that the pro-Second Amendment National Rifle Association is “the new KKK,” Newsbusters’ Tim Graham reported Monday.
Obviously, Whitlock is as ignorant as he is offensive.
The NRA actually helped blacks defend themselves from violent KKK Democrats in the south, not the other way around.
Ann Coulter wrote about the history of blacks and the NRA back in April.
This will give you an idea of how gun control laws worked. Following the firebombing of his house in 1956, Dr. Martin Luther King, who was, among other things, a Christian minister, applied for a gun permit, but the Alabama authorities found him unsuitable. A decade later, he won a Nobel Peace Prize.Sadly, asshat Whitlock will get away with his outrageous lies.
How’s that “may issue” gun permit policy working for you?
The NRA opposed these discretionary gun permit laws and proceeded to grant NRA charters to blacks who sought to defend themselves from Klan violence — including the great civil rights hero Robert F. Williams.
A World War II Marine veteran, Williams returned home to Monroe, N.C., to find the Klan riding high — beating, lynching and murdering blacks at will. No one would join the NAACP for fear of Klan reprisals. Williams became president of the local chapter and increased membership from six to more than 200.
But it was not until he got a charter from the NRA in 1957 and founded the Black Armed Guard that the Klan got their comeuppance in Monroe.
Williams’ repeated thwarting of violent Klan attacks is described in his stirring book, “Negroes With Guns.” In one crucial battle, the Klan sieged the home of a black physician and his wife, but Williams and his Black Armed Guard stood sentry and repelled the larger, cowardly force. And that was the end of it.
As the Klan found out, it’s not so much fun when the rabbit’s got the gun.
The NRA’s proud history of fighting the Klan has been airbrushed out of the record by those who were complicit with the KKK, Jim Crow and racial terror, to wit: the Democrats.
The early KKK Democrats would be proud.
JUST PERFECT: John Boehner Purges Conservatives From Prominent Committee Spots
"Boner must go. This guy is spineless". MC
John Boehner is the Speaker of the House thanks to Tea Party and Constitutional conservatives. But instead of embracing the principles of the base that put him in power, he has purged anyone who doesn't agree with his feckless leadership.
Complete classlessness. As Jimmie Bise, Jr. observes:
Instead, give your money and support to conservative candidates directly and to organizations proven to support conservative principles like Jim DeMint's Senate Conservatives Fund.
John Boehner is the Speaker of the House thanks to Tea Party and Constitutional conservatives. But instead of embracing the principles of the base that put him in power, he has purged anyone who doesn't agree with his feckless leadership.
Speaker John A. Boehner initiated today a small purge of rebellious Republicans — mostly conservatives — from prominent committees; it’s the latest instance of the Ohio Republican’s clamping down on his fractious conference.
The decisions were made by the GOP Steering Committee at a Monday meeting, which reviewed a spreadsheet listing each GOP lawmaker and how often he or she had voted with leadership, three sources said.
Reps. David Schweikert of Arizona and Walter Jones of North Carolina were booted from the Financial Services Committee. Reps. Justin Amash of Michigan and Tim Huelskamp of Kansas were removed from the Budget Committee... According to a source, Schweikert was told that he was ousted in part because his “votes were not in lockstep with leadership.”
All of the lawmakers other than Jones were rebellious right-wingers. Huelskamp and Amash, for instance, both voted against the budget proposed by Budget Chairman Paul D. Ryan of Wisconsin in committee and on the floor, because it did not cut spending fast enough. They also voted against the current continuing resolution that is funding the government through the end of March.
...The decisions came as a major surprise to Republican members. When first contacted about the changes, several of the lawmakers’ offices said they had not yet been notified.
Complete classlessness. As Jimmie Bise, Jr. observes:
This sort of move — summary dismissal from important committees for which you leak to the press before you notify the affected members — is a big, fat backhand to the face, a reminder that John Boehner is in charge of the GOP House caucus and not we upstart conservative Tea Partiers... It’s what happens when a besieged leader wants to secure his position to hold off a siege. Make no mistake, conservatives have gotten very close to positions of real influence inside the ranks of the professional Republicans and that just won’t do. And so, a purge of the problem children who believe conservatism is more than a suit you put on to gull the rubes during an election year. Here's my advice: Don't give a single penny to any official Republican organization. Not a cent to the RNC. Not a nickel to the NRSC. Not a dime to the NRCC. Not a quarter to Karl Rove's idiotic "grassroots" fund, American Crossroads.
Instead, give your money and support to conservative candidates directly and to organizations proven to support conservative principles like Jim DeMint's Senate Conservatives Fund.
Al Sharpton (and Fellow Race Baiters) To Deliver “Black Agenda” Demand List To Obama…
Black Agenda ?
WASHINGTON DC - Following a four-hour closed door meeting Monday, the leaders of four African-American advocacy groups emerged looking pleased to announce a collective wish list they plan to deliver to President Barack Obama for his second term.
The “black agenda,” as the groups have called their wish list on Twitter, starts with ensuring the fiscal cliff doesn’t disproportionately hurt black Americans. That’s something Marc Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League, has worried about before. But Morial also listed five new priorities that came out of what he called Monday’s “historic gathering.” Those include: working for parity for blacks in education, health care and the economy; reforming the criminal justice system; and protecting and defending voting rights.
The White House did not immediately respond to request for comment about whether the president would make these priorities a focus during his second term.
But according to Morial, the voting rights priority is key. “When our community was challenged by voter suppression…they reacted with power, with dignity and with force,” he said.
Despite allegations by liberal advocacy groups that voter suppression tactics by the right hindered minority voting, blacks represented 13 percent of the electorate in 2012, a percentage about equivalent with 2008.
But Al Sharpton, the founder and president of the National Action Network and a liberal commentator for MSNBC, warned Monday that “the voter suppression tactics we saw this year are still in front of us.”
Sharpton also compared the new black agenda with the Civil Rights March on Washington, a major demonstration by African-American civil rights groups in 1963 that led to two major pieces of legislation: the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Judge ousted in Fort Hood shooting case amid beard debacle
Oh wait. Did I call the Fort Hood shooting that lead to the death of 13
people terrorism? I’m sorry. It’s been deemed ‘workplace violence’ by
the Obama regime so the government gets out of paying the families of
the victims benefits they would receive if this was rightly classified
as a terrorist attack. Now, the judge who ordered terrorist Nidal
Hassan’s beard be forcibly shaved has been ousted by the Obama regime. 'Fire Andrea Mitchell.com'
FORT WORTH, Texas The U.S. military's highest court ousted the judge in the Fort Hood shooting case Monday and threw out his order to have the suspect's beard forcibly shaved before his court-martial.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces ruled that Col. Gregory Gross didn't appear impartial while presiding over the case of Maj. Nidal Hasan, who faces the death penalty if convicted in the 2009 shootings on the Texas Army post that killed 13 people and wounded more than two dozen others.
But the court said it was not ruling on whether the judge's order violated Hasan's religious rights. Hasan has argued that his beard is a requirement of his Muslim faith, although facial hair violates Army regulations.
"Should the next military judge find it necessary to address (Hasan's) beard, such issues should be addressed and litigated anew," judges wrote in the ruling.
Hasan appealed after Gross ordered that he must be clean-shaven or be forcibly shaved before his court-martial, a military trial.
The court-martial had been set to begin three months ago, but has been on hold pending the appeals.
In a statement issued Monday night, Fort Hood officials said proceedings in the case will resume after a new judge is appointed by the Army's highest legal branch. That indicates Army prosecutors will not appeal this ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court.
An Army appeals court had upheld the shaving requirement in October. But on Monday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces said the command, not the judge, was responsible for enforcing grooming standards. The ruling said that was one example of how Gross did not appear impartial in the case.
Gross had repeatedly said Hasan's beard was a disruption to the court proceedings, but the military appeals court ruled that there was insufficient evidence to show that his beard interfered with the hearings.
Gross found Hasan in contempt of court at six previous pretrial hearings because he was not clean-shaven, then sent him to a nearby trailer to watch the proceedings on a closed-circuit television. The appeals court's ruling also vacated the contempt of court convictions.
At a June hearing, lead defense attorney Lt. Col. Kris Poppe said the judge showed a bias against Hasan when he asked defense attorneys to clean up a court restroom after Gross found a medical waste bag, adult diaper and what appeared to be feces on the floor after a previous hearing. Hasan, who is paralyzed from the waist down after being shot by police the day of the shootings, has to wear adult diapers - but the mess in the restroom that day was mud from a guard's boots, Poppe said.
"In light of these rulings, and the military judge's accusations regarding the latrine, it could reasonably appear to an objective observer that the military judge had allowed the proceedings to become a duel of wills between himself and (Hasan) rather than an adjudication of the serious offenses with which (Hasan) is charged," judges wrote in the ruling.

New York Times Seeks Buyouts From 30 in Newsroom
Aiming to cut costs in an increasingly troubled advertising environment, The New York Times announced on Monday morning that it would offer buyout packages to newsroom employees. While the primary goal of the buyout program is to trim managers and other nonunion employees from its books, the company is offering employees represented by the Newspaper Guild the chance to volunteer for buyout packages as well.Too bad the deadline comes after Obama’s second beatification. You know everyone wants to go.
In a letter to the staff, Jill Abramson, executive editor of The Times, said she was seeking 30 managers who are not union members to accept buyout packages. She stressed that the paper had been reducing as many newsroom expenses as possible, like leases on foreign and national bureaus. But the hiring The Times has done in recent years to help make it more competitive online has restored the newsroom to the same size it was in 2003 — about 1,150 people.
