The Easter Sunday Prayer
Gracious Heavenly Father,
Praise be to God! His is Risen, He is Risen indeed! We thank you O Lord, for your Amazing Grace, the plan you had for us from the beginning of time, a plan of perfect love, redemption, and reconciliation in your Son, Jesus, and we are humbled and thankful. We lift up our soldiers to you today, that You, Lord, will give them peace, protection and may they feel your presence in all they do. Go before them each day and pursue them with your love to want a deeper relationship with You. You are good, O Lord and your steadfast love endures forever. We pray for our service members.
By your stripes we are healed, and by your Holy Spirit we are empowered to be ambassadors for You. We pray for our chaplains downrange that they would use this season to honor you and bring the good news of salvation to our soldiers. We pray spiritual, emotional and physical strength for them and all the families back home waiting. We also pray for those people around the world, who want peace in their country, and for their families, will be protected and empowered to obtain that. Put a hedge of protection around all those forces working together for peace, we pray dear Lord.
