Barack Obama's carefully constructed image as a civil rights lawyer who wanted to heal the black community was greeted with skepticism by some Chicago activists.
"I never drank the Kool-Aid about Barack Obama," veteran Chicago black activist Eddie Read told The Washington Examiner. Read is president of the Black Independent Political Organization, one of Chicago's largest black community groups.
Read -- who describes himself as a "black nationalist" -- said Chicago streets are filled with genuine "street gangsters" and phonies known as "studio gangsters." The latter are impersonators who make money acting in studio-produced rap videos.

In an address to the United Nations General Assembly today, President Barack Obama dedicated several long passages to discussing and condemning what the New York Times has described as a 14-minute "amateurish video" that a 55-year-old Southern California man posted on YouTube in June.
Obama also told the United Nations that with modern technology efforts to control the flow of information have become “obsolete.”

President Barack Obama addressed the United Nations General Assembly this morning and claimed the future must not belong to those who target Coptic Christians in Egypt, those who bully women, the corrupt few who steal a country's resources, and those who slander the prophet of Islam.

 In these interviews, about 10 of them according to Howard Stern, not a single one of them (all professed Barack Obama voters), knew that Osama bin Laden is dead. Some really like Obama’s choice of another Black man to run as his Vice President. That Black man would be Paul Ryan. A few especially appreciate the fact that Barack Obama is “pro-life.”

Stephanie Cutter: Women Will Vote For Obama Because They’re Stupid

That isn’t an exact quote but that is what Obama spokescritter Stephanie Cutter may as well have said in an interview she gave on NPR’s Diane Rehm Show yesterday:

“We’ll continue doing what we have been doing, trying to get the president’s message out on the ground. Whether it’s in the suburban areas of Northern Virginia, or Denver, Ohio, to talk about what the president wants to do in the future. That’s the other thing that you find most often with women. They’re not really concerned about what’s happened over the last four years, they really want to know what’s going to happen in the next four years.”

 

That’s right. They are just going to think about the last four years that saw 683,000 women lose their job. They are just going to think about the last four years that saw 19 million Americans added to the rolls of food stamps. They are just going to think about a White House where women are paid 18% less than men. And then they are going to turn for Obama because they want even more of the dirty Sanchez treatment over the next four years.
For reasons that are unclear to me, the Romney campaign has essentially ceded the field in the fight for women who vote based on their sex organs rather than issues. I don’t know how big that demographic is but after one brief attempt with the job loss data for women under Obama nothing has been heard. In the meantime the Obama campaign is hammering home that Romney will defund Planned Parenthood and that will mean Armageddon for women’s health because the only healthcare women ever need is an abortion.
Under this administration women have borne the brunt of the economic policies that seem calculated to drive the maximum number of Americans into government dependency. If this administration has been horrific with any demographic… other than minorities and young people… it has been women.
And Stephanie Cutter thinks women are too stupid to notice.
