Obowel Says: LBJ Knew “What The Hell The Presidency Was For”
PRESIDENT OBOWEL:
You know, four days into his sudden presidency, and the night before he would address a joint session of the Congress in which he once served, Lyndon Johnson sat around a table with his closest advisers preparing his remarks to a shattered and grieving nation.
He wanted to call on senators and representatives to pass a civil rights bill, the most sweeping since Reconstruction. And most of his staff counseled him against it. They said it was hopeless, that it would anger powerful Southern Democrats and committee chairmen, that it risked derailing the rest of his domestic agenda.
And one particularly bold aide said he did not believe a president should spend his time and power on lost causes, however worthy they might be, to which, it is said, President Johnson replied: Well, what the hell’s the presidency for? (Laughter, applause.) What the hell’s the presidency for if not to fight for causes you believe in?

in the way the democraps know. Not to ".....fight for causes you believe in", but to fight for the causes that will keep you in power and rich. He grew the welfare state and the state became the way of life in millions of house holds. He put millions on welfare and the Democraps figured out how to keep them there and have them vote Democrap. You think Johnson believed in equal rights? Yeah right. That's why after signing the Equal Rights Act, LBJ, or as I like to think of him, Libtard Baines Johnson, said "That'll keep the n-------s voting democrat for the next two hundred years"! Quite the hero you got there O'dumbass. Oh yeah, he knew what the presidency was all about. I sure would not use LBJ as an example of a good president. He was awful. It was the Republicans who were responsible for the civil rights act passing, not the Democraps. They were against it. But hell, you can't expect the LIV's to know that. They are to ignorant to know that LBJ and the democraps have kept them on the plantation for years now. If LIV's think LBJ believed in the "cause" of bettering the lives of blacks, their even dumber than I already thought they were. He didn't care about them any more than today's democraps care about bringing illegal aliens "out of the shadows." LBJ was also a card carrying member of the KKK. Isn't it ironic how libtards so conveniently forget that in their attempt to re-write the view of history. We all know, the Left doesn't live in the real world. They fabricate their own false narratives (like LBJ and the Dem party being heroes of civil rights) and then use propaganda and deceit in order to attempt to force reality to conform to their fantasy world.

I can see why Barry likes LBJ, everything the man did was politically motivated. It is well-known that LBJ was a ruthless, calculating, conniving, backstabbing politician. He had no values other than his own political aspirations. So it makes perfect sense that Barry would emulate him. LBJ was a racist through and through. He thought blacks were dumb. In Barry's case he was right, since Barry seems to idolize LBJ. Truth is, democraps have never understood what the presidents job is. They view it as a personal soapbox, spending spree and dictatorship. So, what the hell’s the presidency for? It's not for illegitimate, illegal, commie, racist thugs, to totally screw over and destroy America as we know it." MC
