New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says he won’t be marching in the nation’s largest St. Patrick’s Day parade.
De Blasio says he won’t partake in the traditional march along Fifth Avenue because of parade organizers’ refusal to allow participants to carry gay-pride signs.
The new mayor’s predecessor, Michael Bloomberg, always marched. De Blasio also did not march while public advocate.
Its organizers say gay people are welcome to march, but they say signs celebrating being gay would detract from the parade’s focus on honoring Irish heritage.
The parade is a tradition that predates the city itself. Organizers predict more than 1 million people will attend on March 17.
The mayor says he won’t heed activists’ call to ban city workers from marching while wearing their uniforms.
"Talk about the luck of the Irish. The Irish sure as hell don't need this asshole in their parade. Not having this commie bastard marching in the parade should make every Irishman feel good. Nobody gives a f**k if you don't march in the Saint Patricks day Parade jackass. Save your strength for the Gay Pride Parade. Color your hair orange, wear a bra, and have a good time. Why is it that Mayor DeCommieo thinks he has the right to insist gays should be in a parade? Does the city pay for the parade? Does Willy believe he has the right to infringe in people's religion and culture? Does he think he doesn't have to respect anyone? Gays in the parade are disrespectful to Catholics and St.Patrick. Why do gays have to turn every non-gay celebration into a celebration of being gay? Why can't they leave the St. Patrick's Day parade alone without having to tell the world, "Look at me! Look at me! I'm gay!"? I am so sick of specific festivals and parades being muddled by the LGBT agenda. Whether they know it or not, the world doesn't give a damn about their sex lives.
Where else could you find a mayor who won't march in the St. Patrick's Day Parade because gay pride flags aren't allowed but will impose two more holidays on city schools to celebrate a religion (Islam) which considers homosexuality a crime punishable by death? It's really hard for libs to
think things through like that. It gives them headaches. But he is a libtard, and he really can't understand, in his tiny pea-sized lib brain, that gay protesters do not belong at the St. Patty's parade. I still do not understand how this commie jackass got elected. He's a full blown nut job. It's amazing how so much "stupidity" can be encased in a single human being. This guy epitomizes "stupidity".
