House Republicans, in a lengthy report on the Justice Department’s leak investigations, formally accused Attorney General Eric Holder of misleading Congress with “deceptive” testimony that he knew nothing of the “potential prosecution” of the press.
The 70-page report was released late Wednesday by Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee. To coincide with the release, lawmakers also wrote a letter to President Obama calling for a “change in leadership” at the Justice Department.
“The deceptive and misleading testimony of Attorney General Holder is unfortunately just the most recent example in a long list of scandals that have plagued the department,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., said in a statement.
The report delved into the department’s aggressive investigations over various security leaks, but focused in large part on the FBI affidavit seeking a search warrant for Fox News correspondent James Rosen’s emails in connection with one such probe. The DOJ sought access to the documents by arguing Rosen was a likely criminal “co-conspirator” in a leak case, citing the Espionage Act.
"Justice, I thought, is the primary objective. Accusations aren't worth shit in these corrupt political times. A court case where they are proved to be criminal is worth it's weight in gold. Prove this asshole racist guilty and I will be glad to pull the rope. Or if it's a firing squad, you know there will be a fight over who gets the right to have the live round in their gun. But why does it feel like more spinning of the wheels to give the appearance of justice without having to hold anyone in this f**king administration accountable! They are trying to delay justice until after 2016 when they can drop all the investigations. Until Holder is dragged out of the DOJ wearing stylish orange, none of this means shit. It is disgusting that not a single member of this administration has gone to prison, when they all belong there. Unless the GOP are going to act upon it then they are wasting time. Don't accuse, ARREST!
The lying bastard should be in jail. I love how he's investigating whether St. Skittles civil rights were violated. What about the hundreds of AP reporters and James Rosen's civil rights that he
personally and purposely violated? Then the asshole committed perjury in his testimony before congress about it. And lets not forget about our border agent and those innocent Mexicans that were murdered because of Eric Holder's (God I hate that name) F&F debacle.
Holder's eyes are close together, sure sign of a liar. Holder's mouth moving is an even surer sign. Holder is breathing, a most positive sign. So what if the house republicans release a strongly worded report. If they feel strongly about this lying contemptible POS, impeach his ass. I believe his office falls under the category of civil officers and the house has the power to bring impeachment proceedings. Will someone please have the balls to stand up and at least attempt to put an end to this arrogant corrupt administration. Grow a pair Congress and demand this bastard be fired, daily!
