The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. -- Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson

Liberalism: Ideas so good, you have to be forced to accept them.

John McCain Ups Ante… Calls Rand Paul and Ted Cruz “Wacko Birds”

"It disgusts me that I voted for this guy in 2008. Actually, I voted against Hussein and for Sarah Palin. I have to think of it in those terms or I'll go nuts. McCain was on the Palin ballot? That's it. I feel better now. It is long past time for Johnny McShame to go home and sell beer for his wife. John McShame doesn't like those young up-starts making him look stupid. Never mind that on McShame's smartest day, he was still stupid. He doensn't like the fact that TEA Party backed Senators (Paul, Cruz, Lee) have more smarts in their little fingers than he ever had in his entire
brain. But with his buddy Lurch Kerry now out, someone has to be Dunce of the Senate, right? Go home, John, your doctor has a script for Alzheimer's ready for you. The man was heroic. Ok, I get that. We're reminded of it enough. But for as much as he would like us to measure him as a hero, I say we should measure him is by what he has done since. That's what is important. I really don't care what he did in the past, I care what he is doing now, and what he is doing is not good for this country. So how should we measure him since his heroics? Let's start with his tossing his faithful wife aside for money and the chance for power, was deeply involved in corruption, but somehow he skated while others of the Keating five paid the tab. Don't remember the Keating Five? Look it up.  He turns on his supposed own at the drop of a hat or a free dinner, but has no such guts to call out the Hussein's of the world. How many remember he almost switch to the Democrap side. He's a vet, and a war hero. You're right. I get that. But I have a very hard time with the label because his latest actions are not that of a hero, but that of an arrogant, self serving, power hungry, jealous politician. Jealousy is an ugly thing. McCain is jealous of Rand Paul and that's why he's making snide remarks about him. He's threat to his power. He is making him and those like him irrelevant. John boy doesn't like that. Well I do, and I'm tired of these lifer's in the senate. McShame, your a  confused old relic, your a wildly out-of-control, disruptive, loose cannon without a mission. You are an Hussein ass kisser, and it's time you just sit down and shut the hell up.Your time, Senator, if indeed there ever was a time for your brand of irrational fat-mouthed behavior, has come and gone. Conservatives are fed up with you, lefties are using you and laughing at your foolishness, and even the low-information crowd is beginning to see how hollow and utterly useless you are. We respect your naval service and courage while a POW. However, you forfeit all that respect by going rogue and supporting any of Hussein's initiatives or policies. It appears that is precisely what you are doing, and we would be better off if you retired now. You have overstayed your welcome. It's time to go Johnnie, and leave governing to the capable and rational." MC

John McCain lashed out at fellow Republicans Rand Paul and Ted Cruz during an interview with the far left Huffington Post.
The Arizona “maverick” called the two conservative senators “wacko birds.”

The Washington Examiner reported:
Elder Sen. John McCain, who this week engaged in friendly fire when he launched his “maverick” missiles at fellow Republicans seeking clarification on the administration’s drone policies, has upped the ante, deriding Tea Party-backed GOP lawmakers as “wacko birds.”
McCain, who hit the Senate floor Thursday to belittle Sen. Rand Paul’s filibuster, which succeeded in getting an answer from President Obama that drones won’t be used to kill Americans on U.S. soil, even suggested that the Kentucky senator and his allies, like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Michigan Rep. Justin Amash, don’t represent the GOP mainstream.
“It’s always the wacko birds on right and left that get the media megaphone,” McCain told Huffington Post’s Jon Ward in a story titled “John McCain: Getting Back To Maverick, With An Eye On Retirement.”
