Rep. Joe Salazar: Give women whistles, not guns; ‘You may actually not be’ at risk of rape

"Guess all the libtard morons are leaving California and moving to Colorado. Still waiting to hear the libtard outrage. Libtards aren't mad because of what Salazar said, they're mad because he said what they think out loud. You just don't do that. Someone should shove a whistle up this guys ass. Correct me if I’m wrong but telling women to protect themselves from assault and rape with a whistle, or a “safe zone” or a call box is about as offensive and useless as joking about holding an aspirin between their knees for birth control. Republican that said it. The only difference is "whistles" gets no attention from the media and is OK but "aspirin" ruins your chance at a Senate seat after the media pounce. Both moronic remarks, but only one has consequences. No double standard here. Oh these libtard politicians. Logic does not penetrate their thick skulls. He suggested that women might “feel” they are going to be raped, and just start firing away indiscriminately. He doesn’t believe it involves some thinking and powers of deduction? Just give them a whistle and that will fix everything. Seriously, how often does someone shoot in self defense only to learn there was no threat? And this ignores the fact that 95% of the time when a gun is drawn in self defense, it isn’t even fired. As long as there are democrats, Americans will need guns to protect themselves from them. I guess to the libtards, the whistle is now a new model of the Smith and Wesson?  Why is it not "my body, my choice" when it comes to a woman defending her body from rape? I guess in the libtard world, it's better to be raped and get rid of the baby that you might get left with, than to shoot the evil scum in the face. Yeah, that make sense. I know, why not just declare everywhere a "safe zone"? Then rapes will just never occur, right? I don't think you can be born that stupid, it takes years to grow via public education. It is however contagious, possibly air born. Outbreaks occur during and after large DNC events. I'd say libtards like Salazar have been working very hard to reach this level. If there is such a thing, I believe he's taking stupidity steroids. Come to think of it, he probably wants to replace guns with whistles because if you feel like you're about to be raped, it's probably by a Democrat. See Kennedy (John, Ted, and Willie), Bill "cigar" Clinton, Bob "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" Menendez,etc. Democrat men are afraid of women with guns. It's not surprising that Salazar said what he did. Libtards never want to punish the criminals. Their belief is that it's better that a woman be raped and/or murdered than kill a criminal in self-defense. Libtards like Salazar want women just to lay back, whistle a happy tune during the rape, and get over it. Give a woman a gun and the rapist rapes no more. Give a woman a whistle and the rapist rapes somebody else. But I guess, as far as the libtards are concerned, they can use their last dying breath to blow that friggin whistle." MC

Back in November, we told you how former Bush adviser Karen Hughes wanted to personally cut the tongue out of any Republican man who “says anything about rape other than it is a horrific, violent crime.” We don’t know who on the Democrat side of the aisle is going to offer up a similar threat to get Colorado Democrat Rep. Joe Salazar to stop talking, but you’d better hurry.

 As RedState reports, on Friday, Salazar argued against concealed carry on college campuses in favor of call boxes, whistles and “safe zones.” Why? Because you as a woman might “feel like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be” — better to head to the call box and let a man with a gun decide if the danger is real or not (if he shows up in time, that is).

Update: Salazar has issued a statement apologizing if he offended anyone. From the reaction, we say yes, he did.

I’m sorry if I offended anyone. That was absolutely not my intention. We were having a public policy debate on whether or not guns makes people safer on campus. I don’t believe they do. That was the point I was trying to make. If anyone thinks I’m not sensitive to the dangers women face, they’re wrong.
I am a husband and father of two beautiful girls, and I’ve spent the last decade defending women’s rights as a civil rights attorney. Again, I’m deeply sorry if I offended anyone with my comments.
