The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. -- Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson

Liberalism: Ideas so good, you have to be forced to accept them.

White House staff: Our petition website sure is dumb, huh?

"I guess they don't like hearing how many people disagree with their ideas. That's just like Barry Husein, changing the rules in the middle of the game when they don't give him the advantage. The truly amazing thing here is that people who "work" in  Barry Husein's White House had enough mental ability to recognize that something is "dumb". This website has nothing to do with listening to "We the People", but everything to do with gathering names in a database. Don't be stupid enough to create or sign a petition as long as Husein is in office. I guess they thought there was going to be petitions for stronger gun control, people asking for higher taxes and people asking to make Husein president for life. As usual, they guessed wrong. It was an election gimmick gone wrong, or it was put into place as another path for Obamaphiles to organize against the country, gone wrong. Yep, these are the moron's that want to run the health care system, and develop and teach a national education curriculum, and be trusted on immigration, and to make decisions regarding our weapons, and they are responsible with protecting our shores. The Resident of the United States of America is criminally insane; the opposing party is led by cowards; and the free press have converted into a propaganda instrument of the federal government. Am I the only one who fears for the future of the country?" MC

White House staffers have now reportedly come around to the fact that their petition website is just one big, dumb waste of time.

The “We The People” website, which allows everyday Americans to pester the Obama administration with
nonsensical petitions calling for secession or the construction of a Star Wars-inspired orbital death cannon, now requires petitions to carry at least 100,000 signatures before they receive an official White House response.

Previously, petitions only required 25,000 signatures — a threshold met by aforementioned Death Star idea, which the White House batted away with a tongue-in-cheek response.

“If you had told me a year and a half ago that the White House would be devoting time writing [an official statement] on how Lord Vader could fix our economic woes, I would have just laughed loudly at you,” one White House staffer, who had worked on the WTP program, told Mother Jones.

“Sometimes, I find myself thinking, ‘My God, what have we done?’” said another.
