ESPN Apologizes for Brent Musburger’s Comments About Miss Alabama

Let's not forget Bawney.

"When I heard it I knew this was coming. I cringed when he was saying it. Men are not allowed to comment on the beauty of a woman anymore because her ugly feminist stepsisters get jealous and those hags have worked very hard over the years to say it is a horrible thing to do. Imagine complementing someone, what a horrible thing to do.Has CNN apologized for Kathy Griffin giving Andy Cooper a kiss in the crotch while on the air? (I bet he closed his eyes and fantasized that it was Chrissy Matthews, but anyway.) Remember it’s Brent Mushburger. Probably hasn’t had any action since the Nixon administration. Apologies from ESPN because Brent Musberger calls a woman beautiful? We’ve come a long way when the only women allowed to be shown admiration are uglies like Elena Kagan, Sonja Sodameyer, Hillary, Pelosi, etc. Ugh. We know society is in trouble when an apology is required for complimenting a woman’s beauty but it’s okay for liberal so-called “comedians” to refer to women as stupid, bitches, whores, twats, and cunts. It’s downright shameful that no apology is required for those vial comments. A woman should be flattered to be told she is pretty and should not find it offensive at hearing a man state he thinks another women is gorgeous. God help us if we are now forbidden to compliment someone". MC

At the BCS championship game between Alabama and Notre Dame veteran announcer Brent Musbarger was very impressed with Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend Katherine Webb, a statuesque Auburn alum and Miss Alabama.
“You quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women. What a beautiful woman… Whoa!”
The video went viral.

ESPN apologized for the outburst.
On Tuesday, ESPN responded to the commentary:

“We always try to capture interesting storylines and the relationship between an Auburn grad who is Miss Alabama and the current Alabama quarterback certainly met that test. However, we apologize that the commentary in this instance went too far and Brent understands that.”
