If Andrew Cuomo Wants to Confiscate Guns, Let HIM Go Door-to-Door and Do It Himself

Take my gun Gov.

Because he’d be shot dead before he had so much as a single gun taken from it’s owner.

When Liberals talk about “reasonable gun control,” one of our objections (besides the main one: “…shall not be infringed”), is understanding that Liberals’ final objective is a complete disarmament of US citizens. Which can only be accomplished via confiscation (from known legal firearm owners — if the government has been unable to keep illegal drugs out of the hands of criminals, how are they going to get them to turn in their firearms?).
Of course, when we point out that their ultimate end game is confiscation, they wave us off and say, “No way…we’d never go that far.”
Until, of course, one of them slips and admits the truth. Which is exactly what NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is proposing:

“I don’t think legitimate sportsmen are going to say, ‘I need an assault weapon to go hunting,’ ”
he said. At the same time, he noted that he owns a shotgun that he has used for hunting, and said, “There is a balance here — I understand the rights of gun owners; I understand the rights of hunters.”
In the interview, Mr. Cuomo did not offer specifics about the measures he might propose, but, while discussing assault weapons, he said: “Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it.”

You know what else would be an option, Mr. Cuomo? A bunch of gun owners refusing to surrender their God-given right to self-defense opening fire on anybody showing up at their doors to try to confiscate their firearms. And if it’s in my neighborhood, the confiscators better be prepared for a lot of resistance. And heavy crossfire, as news of the confiscation quickly spreads through the neighborhood.
And who, exactly, does Mr. Cuomo believe is going to be the agent of this large-scale confiscation? NY PD? They’d be so completely under-manned and under-armed, that the body count would be staggering. And extremely lop-sided.
How many New Yorkers, exactly, is Mr. Cuomo willing to sacrifice to achieve his Liberal utopia? How high of a body count is acceptable.

AWD has never really understood why liberals hate guns like they do. Guns are a tool. They do nothing if a human hand isn’t involved. Like a hammer. Or an automobile. Yes, tools can be used to destroy just as they can be used for good. But human nature has shown for thousands of years that there are those among us who are violent criminals just like those of us who will never commit a crime. Criminals are those that don’t keep the law to achieve their desires. If criminals kept the law, we would have no crime. If liberals weren’t idiots, we’d still have the wussypants Republican RINOs! Liberals tend to blame the tool rather than the criminal.

The tyranny of leftists always seeps out, doesn’t it? Cuomo proved (but doesn’t understand why) the Second Amendment is not about hunting. The Founding Fathers weren’t worried about the colonists bagging a buck or a goose. They knew from sad experience that the natural tendency of government is to grow in size and scope where it eventually controls every aspect of the lives of ‘subjects’ in a country. The only protection citizens have against an oppressive, tyrannous government is to rise up and replace it. THAT is the reason we have the Second Amendment. Governor Cuomo’s statement is the reason we have the Second Amendment! Conservatives understand this. Liberals either are too stupid or corrupt to understand or admit.
Cuomo wants to confiscate guns or require mandatory sale to the state? Just who is going to confiscate the weapons? And what if the citizens don’t sell their weapons to the state? What then, Governor? Are you going to imprison honest, patriotic, otherwise law-abiding citizens? By what right? By what authority? It isn’t found in the Constitution.
What Governor Cuomo is considering could usher in a revolution. It would be interesting to know how many sworn law enforcement officers in New York would turn in their badges before going door to door trying to confiscate the weapons of their neighbors. Do they not anticipate that a good many of those New Yorkers are not going to willingly hand over their guns? What then, Governor? Do you call in the National Guard? Well, those citizens ARE the National Guard! And what if those citizens decide it’s time to pay a little visit to Albany? What then, Governor?
