The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. -- Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson

Liberalism: Ideas so good, you have to be forced to accept them.

BIG BIDEN RALLY Draws Less Than a Thousand Supporters

 Joe Biden

Joe Biden held rallies today at two different high schools in Colorado.
At his first stop in Arvada less than one thousand supporters turned out. Later in the day Vice President did better at this Pueblo, Colorado rally where he had just over a thousand supporters turn out to see him.

Less Than 200 People Show up for Obama Event With Stevie Wonder

The 2008 magic is gone folks. And I mean gone…
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Legendary performer Stevie Wonder this morning expressed his love for Cleveland during a get-out-the-vote rally at Cleveland State University.
His love went largely unrequited.
Fewer than 200 people showed up to watch Wonder perform a handful of his hits at the early voting event in support of President Barack Obama.
Most of the people had learned of the event just hours before the 9:30 a.m. start time. Some just happened to be in the area and followed the live music.
Campaign volunteer Ken Johnson asked who in the crowd had voted early before introducing Wonder.
Nearly every hand went up.
Wonder took the stage at about 10:30 a.m.
“I do a song. You go vote. You come back. We do some more music,” he said before opening with “Sir Duke.”
No one left to vote after the first — or any — song.
A shuttle meant to take voters to the nearby Cuyahoga County Board of Elections left empty after Wonder’s final song, “Superstition.”

Obama Demonizes Tea Party in Final Days of Campaign

After failing to mention the Tea Party by name on the stump in 2012, President Barack Obama mentioned the movement during at least five stump speeches on Thursday and Friday.

Running against the Tea Party movement that successfully stymied his grassroots agenda and energized conservatives and independents to give Republicans in the House a majority, Obama said Mitt Romney would "rubber-stamp the Tea Party agenda in Congress."
Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots, said Obama was continuing to divide Americans by badmouthing "millions of grassroots" Tea Party activists across the nation.
"In a single speech today, our current President demonized Americans who have achieved the American Dream and badmouthed millions of grassroots Tea Party activists in every state in the nation," Martin said on Thursday. "If he spent as much time uniting Americans as he does dividing Americans and attacking them, his presidency might have been a success."
Politico reviewed a transcript of all of Obama's speeches and found Obama had only mentioned "tea party" once -- in a campaign appearance in Virginia in October -- on the stump in 2012 before this week. Obama cannot run on his accomplishments. His so-called agenda for a second term consists of campaign platitudes that were cut and pasted into a pamphlet. And after spending the better part of the campaign trying to tear down and run against Romney, Obama is now trying to run agains the Tea Party, which may be an admission that his silly attacks on Romney, which have included Big Bird, binders, and "Romnesia," have failed and turned off voters. So now Obama is trying a tactic that failed liberals during 2010's historic midterm election.

UPDATE: Pennsylvania Tied, 47-47, On Eve of Romney's Arrival

Update: The final Susquehanna Polling & Research Poll shows a 47-47% tie heading into the Tuesday election. Romney is seen slightly more favorable (+4) than Obama (+1). Adding to Romney's advantage is that an overwhelming 71% place economic and fiscal issues as their top concern, and 56% believe the nation is headed on the wrong track. Romney campaigns in Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon.

Original: Mitt Romney and Republican allies have suddenly poured more than $10 million into Pennsylvania to fund a late push by the presidential challenger. Two weeks ago, a poll by Susquehanna Polling and Research showed Mitt Romney leading Barack Obama by four points in the Keystone State, 49-45%. (Note: a previous edition of this article incorrectly stated that the 49-45% Romney lead was this week's poll).
In what could prove to be a brilliant campaign move, the Romney campaign hid details of a Sunday campaign appearance in Pennsylvania until after the Obama team released their final campaign schedule.  Critics have been dismissing Susquehanna's tight polling for over a month based on little more than the fact that a Republican presidential candidate hasn't won Pennsylvania since the 1980s. George W. Bush came close, however, in both of his campaigns. Republicans also took the US Senate seat and Governor's mansion in 2010, despite Pat Toomey being called "unelectable" by the media.
If Romney wins Pennsylvania, the race is over. If the Obama campaign and the media ignore Susquehanna's polling, they do so at their peril. Let's take a quick look at the three most recent major statewide races in Pennsylvania, and how Susquehanna fared compared to their polling counterparts:
2010 US Senate Race - Susquehanna was the only pollster to nail Pat Toomey's two-point margin of victory over Joe Sestak. The media-despised Rasmussen Reports was second closest (two points off), while Quinnipiac and Public Policy Polling (the "real" pollsters) were off by three points.
2010 PA Governor's Race - Republican Tom Corbett won the race by eight points, 54-46. Susquehanna polled the race within one point, showing Corbett winning by seven points. Rasmussen, PPP, and Quinnipiac reported the same margin, resulting in a four-way tie in correctly predicting the race.
2008 Presidential Contest - For those shocked at seeing Obama trailing Mitt Romney by four points in the latest Pennsylvania poll, the same polling outfit had Obama defeating McCain by 8 points four years ago. Obama won by 10. Although their final poll was done two weeks before election day, they actually polled within two points of the final results, along with PPP, Quinnipiac, and Survey USA. The results were closer than other state polls done by Rasmussen, ARG, Marist, and Morning Call.
In the last three statewide contests, Susquehanna had an average margin of error from the actual result of one point, making them Pennsylvania's most accurate pollster. Romney winning Pennsylvania doesn't seem out of reach at all. Obama won the state by 10 points in 2008, a smaller margin than he won by in Wisconsin and Nevada, which are now toss-ups. He won by about the same margin in New Hampshire, Iowa, Minnesota, and Colorado in 2008 as well; all of those states are now in play. Romney is also benefiting from a lack of early voting in Pennsylvania, depriving union goons the opportunity to drag voters to the polls for weeks before the election.
While the left called Romney's move into Pennsylvania "desperate," it could prove brilliant. If Romney wins Pennsylvania, as Susquehanna suggests he is on the verge of doing, he no longer needs Ohio, Wisconsin, Nevada, Iowa, or New Hampshire. Of course, if he does win Pennsylvania, he stands to win some of those states, too. At this point, Romney isn't just looking for a win. He is looking for a mandate.
