Obama Demands Emergency Gift of $450 Million to Muslim Brotherhood

Some said Obama would be just like the feckless Jimmy Carter. If only. Compare Egypt to Iran:
First Obama pulls the rug out from under a crucial and reliable ally, à la Carter. In the aftermath, Americans are held hostage and Muslims storm our embassy while the government sits on its hands, just like under the peanut farmer. But then Obama went off the Carter script. I don’t recall Jimmah shoveling mountains of our money at revolutionary Iran.

The Obama administration notified Congress on Friday that it would provide Egypt’s new government an emergency cash infusion of $450 million, but
the aid immediately encountered resistance from a prominent lawmaker wary of foreign aid and Egypt’s new course under the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The aid is part of the $1 billion in assistance that the Obama administration has pledged to Egypt to bolster its transition to democracy [in practice, Islamic theocracy] after the overthrow last year of the former president, Hosni Mubarak. …
An influential Republican lawmaker, Representative Kay Granger of Texas, immediately announced that she would use her position as chairwoman of the House appropriations subcommittee overseeing foreign aid to block the distribution of the money.

Good luck to Rep. Granger, but it is unlikely she will be able to prevent Obama from redistributing our wealth to our enemies.
$1 billion is only the tip of the iceberg that Obama is deliberately ramming our hull into.

The assistance outlined in letters to Congress on Friday would be contingent on Egypt’s setting in motion economic and budgetary changes that the International Monetary Fund is now negotiating as part of a $4.8 billion loan.
The administration has also thrown its support behind that loan, and officials said they hoped it would be completed before the end of the year.

Guess where most of the IMF money will come from? That’s right; our rulers extract it from our paychecks.

In addition to the $1 billion in assistance, the administration is working with Egypt to provide $375 million in financing and loan guarantees for American financiers who invest in Egypt and a $60 million investment fund for Egyptian businesses. All of that comes on top of $1.3 billion in military aid that the United States provides Egypt each year.

What do we get in exchange for all the money? Arrogant demands:

Egypt’s new Islamist president, Mohamed Morsi said the United States needed to fundamentally change its approach to the Arab world, showing greater respect for its values and helping build a Palestinian state, if it hoped to overcome decades of pent-up anger.

Mubarak was a loyal ally because he didn’t want our government to stop showering him with money. But Morsi has figured out that so long as Obama is in power, the money will flow regardless. Much of it will be spent in the upcoming war against Israel.
No doubt what’s left will go toward their weapons program. After the Little Satan has been annihilated, Muslims will still have the Great Satan to deal with, if their buddy Obama hasn’t already used debt to destroy it.
